Our mailing list allows you to send messages to all members of our society who are on this list with just one email. Please send your email to: GFBS(at)LISTSERV.DFN.DE
Since April 2014, the GfBS has a mailing list service, which is part of the German Research Network (DFN), the Berlin-based communication network for science and research in Germany organized by science community itself. Please follow the instructions below, how you can use this list for yourself and for the benefit of all GfBS members. After a few simple steps, you can easily reach all members.
The aim of the mailing list is to make it easier for the German-speaking systematics to get in touch, to initiate co-operations, to disseminate useful tips and to find help if needed. It may not be used for commercial advertising, not even for self-promotion ("This is my latest publication") and should not be a chat room.
Your responses should also be sent via the mailing list, unless it concerns information that is not of general interest.
Please adhere to the rules of use and the code of conduct (pdf)
Anyone who misuses the forum and the mailing list (see rules of use, pdf), their address will be removed from the list and permanently blocked. Furthermore, addresses of people who are not members of the GfBS will be deleted. If you would like to be included in the list, please contact the former President, Michael Ohl.
To receive messages, you must first log in: To do this, go to the GfBS list on the DFN website and enter your e-mail address and your name. You will then receive an e-mail in which you will be asked to confirm the receipt of e-mails (also so that no one gains access to the list on your behalf).
After your confirmation, Michael Ohl will activate your registration. This can take a day, please be patient. You will then receive all further information by email.
You can send your messages via email to the list address GFBS(at)LISTSERV.DFN.DE .
Please note that other people can see your name and email address on the GfBS mailing list. You can change your settings on DFN's website under "Subscriber Settings". The individual items that you can select are explained on DFN's help page. To do so, the first time you must request a password, which will be assigned to your email address. Please follow the instructions that you will then receive by email.
Our former president Michael Ohl is in charge of the mailing list. You can also contact the operator of the GfBS mailing list at GFBS-REQUEST(at)LISTSERV.DFN.DE. If you have any questions, GfBS's webmaster will also help you.
If you do not want to receive any further emails from the mailing list, you can unsubscribe. To do this, please also go to the website mentioned and log out again.
The establishment of a mailing list for GfBS members, originally initiated by Prof. Wägele, has since 2014 been on DFNList, a service of the Association for the Promotion of a German Research Network e. V. (DFN) based in Berlin. The associated website is operated by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Steinbuch Center for Computing (SCC)e.
